2Y–10Y spread

year on year / month on month

Year-on-year asks how a month compares with the same month a year earlier; month-on-month uses the preceding month. With a positive comparison value, divide the current level by that value, subtract one and multiply by 100. Seasonal adjustment changes which series is being compared.

term premium

A term premium is the component of a longer-term Treasury yield associated with risk around future short rates. New York Fed estimates separate it from the expected short-rate path using a term-structure model, rather than observing it as a standalone market quote.
